Young LEaders Training
We see the need to bring up the next generation of leaders and our Young Leaders Training (YLT) weekend is made for just that. We are excited to welcome students who are currently in grade 9 to grade 12 to apply for the training weekend and look forward to walking alongside them as they serve at CHBC this summer.
The Young Leaders Training will take place at Covenant Heights Bible Camp on Saturday, June 29 - Sunday, June 30, 2024 (times TBD).
To volunteer at camp this summer, eligible students MUST fill out the application below AND attend the training weekend (We will not be accepting "new" or "returning" volunteer applications from this age group).
We encourage those who apply to seek out volunteer opportunities in their local church and community in the months leading up to summer. There is so much that can be learned when we serve alongside others!
WHAT to expect:
Participants will learn to work together as a team, build their leadership skills, and be given the opportunity to practice servant heartedness as they prepare to serve at camp.
There is no cost to participate in this training and all meals are provided.
Space in the training is limited and our specific volunteer needs will determine what volunteer positions will be filled by Young Leaders during our other camps (Squirt, Junior).
Volunteer positions could include a variety of roles throughout the week: kitchen helper, junior cabin leader, activities/games leader, crafts helper, maintenance/cleaning etc. After completing the training, our leadership team will determine how many Young Leaders are needed and in what roles.
In order to be considered for YLT 2024, those who apply should be available and willing to volunteer during both Squirt Camp (July 6-7) and Junior Camp (July 7-12). Young Leaders could also choose to volunteer during Family Camp if desired, but not required.
